About

Results anyone can check.

Indivisa means undivided. A result should not split depending on who computed it, on which machine, or on whose word. Indivisa LLC builds software held to that standard.

Purpose

More and more decisions rest on digital material: files handed between people, outputs handed between AI systems, records moved between machines decades apart in age. Indivisa's tools make that material checkable. They do not ask anyone to trust a vendor, a model or a server. They produce artifacts that can be examined independently, now and later.

The products differ. Hashit and WITNESS deal with evidence, CDERE with mathematics, COBOL Bridge with legacy data. What they share is a way of working.

Approach

  • Specifications first. The written specification is the source of truth. If code and specification disagree, that is a bug.
  • Memory-safe languages for anything critical. Cryptographic and parsing paths are written in Rust or another memory-safe language.
  • Outside known answers. Primitives are checked against published vectors (NIST ACVP, RFC test vectors, Project Wycheproof) and against independent implementations.
  • Frozen means frozen. Once a format is released, its bytes never change. New capability arrives alongside it, not inside it.
  • Careful words. A fingerprint shows that a file is unaltered, and we claim no more than that. A record strengthens an evidential position; a court decides the rest. Any standards claim names the exact standard and what was tested.

Founder

Indivisa LLC was founded by Patrick Hopper, who spent 26 years as a systems engineer at a global law firm. That work showed, up close, how legal and regulated organizations buy software, and why they distrust it.
